April’s Obama Administration housing scorecard shows that the housing market’s overall trends are positive. While the data suggests that the housing market is recovering, it also states that the recovery is not yet complete. Foreclosure rates have fallen in the U.S., and home prices have become more stable. Katherine O’Regan, the HUD Assistant Secretary for Policy Development and Research said, “April’s Housing Scorecard shows that the housing market is stabilizing as home prices have risen nearly 7% from last year, and Foreclosure completions are at their lowest level since mid-2007.” More here
